So what is a PCA racing weekend like?  How much time is alloted for practice and qualifying, how long are the races?   Is there a national champion in each class?  Runoff's?

Does anyone know what the differences are (if any) in a stock 993 tub vs that of a 993 cup car?

A club racing weekend is pretty exciting.  Depending on turnout, there are usually 3 or 4 run groups made up of similarly performing classes.  The first day you get 3 20 minute practices, and then a practice race made up of 2 practice starts, and then a 4 lap race.  The second day there is a 20 minute warmup, a 30 minute qualifying session, and then a 30 minute sprint race.  The last day there is  a 20 minute warmup followed by a 90 minute enduro.

There is as much or even more cameraderie at a club race, and it is also relaxing for us instructors, because we only have to worry about ourselves.  And it is exhilarating, because it is real wheel to wheel racing.  There is no national champion or runoffs at the present time.

To answer your 993 question, the cup tub is seam-welded, resulting in a stiffer car.  Otherwise I believe it is the same.

Sounds like a lot of seat time Cool  Is the enduro a multi driver event?

A DE weekend must be crazy busy for instructors, with all you have to think about, is it hard to focus on your own driving?  Will you be at the Summit DE in November?
