Confusedhock:  Rear plastic window cracked in the cold weather this week.  Anyone have any good ideas beyond duct-tape on how to repair a 6 inch crack?

I see new convertable tops are running $600 - $800 has anyone had experience installing one?

There is a place in Willow Grove that does good work, and it shouls cost way lower than a new top and labor.  I think it is called Willow Grove Auto Tops?  Hopefully, someone here on the forum will know the correct name.

After driving an e30 BMW cab with a plastic rear window, I can feel your pain. Sad

$850 to remove the top and replace rear window.

$750 to install a new top (+ plus cost of new top)

All you rich guys living up here in bucks county are driving repair costs through the roof!

... I need to join the 914 club ... or the 924 club ... or the 912 club .... geez!

check with brian minkin.  his company does repairs to interiors, but I'm not certain that he does anything on the rear windows.

In response to Steve's suggestion, we do not do window replacement on convertible tops.  However I have seen tops on 911 cabs that have had the window cut out exept for a small lip and new plastic glued to that lip.  I personally would rather have it sewn in the way Willow Grove Auto Top would do it but this is a cheaper alternative.  You need to check with some other trim shops to get additional price quotes and installation options.

Just an idea but, it may be worth exploring the retrofit option of an '03 glass top through PAR.
