Air Compressor/Pump for the Garage - scott_nichol - 08-27-2015

I'm looking for a good, affordable air compressor or pump for my garage that will allow me to maintain tire pressure on our three vehicles and help me in inflating the Boxster's tire pressure for winter storage.

Anyone have a brand or model they recommend?

thanks,
scott

Are you looking to run air tools or anything else with it? If not, a small pancake style compressor or even one that runs on 12v would work. I use a Viair 88P (http://www.viaircorp.com/88P.html) at the track and it's enough for even my truck tires (at 80 psi). But for the garage I have a larger tank setup since I need it to run air tools and such.

Thanks! This looks like a solid compressor.

However, I was thinking maybe something that connected to a 120v supply rather than trying to connect it to the car battery. Seems more convenient and the most common complaint on the Amazon reviews is that it was blowing fuses in some cars.
