Are the gaseous emmisions and fuel line issue linked?

I had a great first time on this fast and outstanding track.  The RA-1’s felt fabulous. It was really nice running with RTR guys and others.

Very special thanks go out to Tom Z. and Jack K. for helping me with my “documentation? issues Sad  (thanks, guys)

Also, I  took a different way home. I didn’t get lost, but as luck would have it, I had the pleasure of an “introduction? with the Virginia State Poh-lice for traveling at a “high rate of speed.?  Yes, that high rate of speed was 47 mph . . .  through a small town.  Luckily, the track gods smiled upon me and the cop had mercy, because I told him I was coming back from VIR !

Never a dull moment.

Thought I'd post a few comments on the Zone 2 VIR event.

This was my first time t VIR.   Holy $%# - what an awesome track Big Grin

I had the pleasure of being the classroom instructor at the event which meant we were able to stay on the premisis at the Lodge.

For those of you that haven't been to VIR, no track we drive at can match the facilities.  We spent 4 days there and never left the complex!  Carol even visited the Spa Smile

As for the event, it was very well run.  No surprise since Tom Z was the organizer and Paul W was on the tech team.  Riesentoter was well represented on the event management team!

We lucked out and dialed up 3 spectacular days, the complete opposite of last year according to those that attended both.

Back to the track...  What a hoot!  A nice mix of high speed and technical sections.  To me, it seemed like mix of the Glen and a faster version of Shenandoah.

Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the event.  I just wish the track wasn't 7.5 hours away Sad

Jack

VIR has a great flow doesn't it?  T3 down to Oak Tree...Rollercoaster, a lot of fun.  I think I'd only put Mid-Ohio ahead of it in the "flow" category of tracks I have driven.

Agree.  I had a fantastic weekend!  Jack, Tom, Paul, etc. did a superb job as always.  As a beginner to all this, it is comforting to know that things are under control and in good hands.

One question...did anybody get the website or name of the photography company that was on-track?

Lastly, the bad news....my brake rotors appear to be toast.  Lots of tiny grooves in the fronts.  When I hit the brakes they make a pretty loud grinding noise and some vibration.  Not sure if it was due to all the gravel in the paddock area getting stuck between pad & rotor between run sessions, or if my brakes are just crap (probably the latter).  Oh well, nobody said DE is for the price-conscious enthusiast!

Not related...broken fuel overflow line caused the fuel issue... some excellent lasagne and plenty-o-brewskis caused the emmissions issue...

Great time had by all, can't wait 'till next year!

Okay, everyone can stop holding their breath... the moment you've all been waiting for:  some hot action from the Green Run Group.

Keep the snide comments to a minimum... this was my third DE.
