Eric, like you, most of my experience with domestics have all been Jeeps. It's a great brand and the new Grand Cherokee (a la ML) looks like a winner. Too bad Daimler-Chrysler didn't last. - emayer - 06-20-2010 I think Terry and Dave take the prize for the most coveted and varietal list of cars. Josh, you're right about the Jeeps. Dependable and utilitarian in all conditions. Between this platform and the Minivan, Chrylser/AMC developed the progenitor of two entire classes of cars in the past few decades. Quite a feat. The Mercedes SUVs are more refined and have better ride quality, but dollar-for-dollar the Jeeps are better. I think the best products to come out of the Daimler merger include the Crossfire (SLK underpinnings/motor) built in Germany with better sheetmetal than the MB counterpart. The other would be the 300/Magnum variants. Fusing a Hemi with Mercedes suspension, transimission, and braking components sounds like a great idea to me! Is it true you are looking to sell the Mazda racer? Any thoughts as to a track worthy replacement? - Larry Herman - 06-20-2010 Here are the cars that I bought in order: 1964 Comet Convertible 1972 Triumph GT6 MkIII 1971 Ford Pinto 1974 Mercury Capri V6 1966 Triumph Spitfire 1977 Dodge Street Van 1972 Triumph Spitfire 1978 Z28 Chevy Camaro 1981 Volvo Station wagon 1974 Porsche 914 1984 Ford Aerostar 1987 Volvo Turbo 1991 Mazda MPV Mini-van 1994 Chevy Suburban 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera 1997 BMW 325 Convertible 1998 Mercedes-Benz E320 1999 Mercedes-Benz C320 Wagon 2001 GMC Yukon XL Denali 2002 Mercedes-Benz E500 Wagon 2003 Subaru WRX 2004 Porsche GT3 1994 Porsche RSA racecar 2006 Porsche Boxster S 2006 Porsche Cayenne S 2007 Dodge Diesel Megacab |
