My rear arms are coming off some time next week also. Are you doing rear wheel bearings too ? - Craigs*84 - 01-13-2013 CarreraSupercharged wrote: Quote:Craig, I too working on bushing replacement and find your trick with the drill very helpfull. I've tried burning the rubber with the torch but it made more of a mess than anything. Also works well on the strut tops on torsion bar cars. Drill from the top and use a pry bar from the bottom and flop it out. - Craigs*84 - 01-13-2013 CarreraSupercharged wrote: Quote:Wow great looking hub Craig. No not right now, I don't feel that adventurous. It's a big deal from what I've heard. - CarreraSupercharged - 01-13-2013 betegh9 wrote: Quote:To both of you, actually Hey Nick replacing rubber with rubber is not a performance enhancer. Just so you know. And spring plates are use for camber and toe adjustment, again not a performance enhancer. Now the wheel alignment is a big performance bonus, but I was already heavily penalize by your good friend last year...... There is nothing to worry, the car is still 3000 lbs, and with the same oil burning engine. I am simply trying to keep up with the 20+ years of neglected maintenance. - Craigs*84 - 01-13-2013 CarreraSupercharged wrote: Quote:betegh9 wrote:^^Me to.... ![]() - betegh9 - 01-13-2013 Not to be picky, but not all rubbers are the same - CarreraSupercharged - 01-14-2013 betegh9 wrote: Quote: I enjoy the good times with you guys.Same here Nick ![]() - Craigs*84 - 01-17-2013 I've been slacking off so I have to get going again ... .... arms are on , drivers side is ready to go, passenger side still needs more adjustment with the alignment washers. - Craigs*84 - 01-17-2013 Im debating on cutting the loop off my tow hook, or welding it back together. The alignment washers move the tow hook down about an inch. If the loop hits something wouldn't it be more of a direct impact? (speed bumps & driveways at low speed). If the loop was gone I think it would be more of a glancing blow. any ideas ?? |
