I do not think this route is quicker as you go past NJMP and come back up from the south.

No, the RV route is about 15 miles longer. It avoids the town.

We just decided to add Advanced Driver's Education to the weekend. Registration is limited to 40 drivers in the white run group and above. We are looking at 5 DE run sessions each of the 3 days. The sessions will be intermixed with the PCA races on Lightning. This is a chance to see great races on both tracks and drive your car.

This event will book quickly. Please don't ask if we have room before our Registrar has your check and application in hand.

Nick et al,

I would consider driving as a spectator to preview the track/watch a club race on Saturday the 13th. I couldn't find a schedule on their website.

Can you post the schedule of events for the weekend?

Thanks,

I was just thinking the RV route looks like all highway/back roads as opposed to stop&go in town. I guess it would depend on the time of day and how much lead was in the foot. Either way, Josette and I are staying at the Quality Inn, which is on 47, on the way into town. I guess it really doesn't make much sense to back track anyway.

Spent yesterday on Lightning. These are the directions I followed:

Take the Walt Whitman Bridge to Route 76 (Atlantic City) or the Ben Franklin Bridge to Route 676 to Route 76 (Atlantic City) to Route 42 South. Follow Rt 42 South 2 miles and bear right onto RT 55 South (Exit 13). Take Exit 24 Millville, Rt 49 (first ramp) Follow Rt 49 (East Main Street) for approx 1.5 miles. Cross Rt 47, North 2nd Street, then go through two lights, over the bridge through the blinker light and turn left at the next light onto Brandriff Av. Brandriff becomes Race St., then Silver Run Rd Rt 555.. Follow two miles and turn right onto Dividing Creek Rd. (Still Rt 555) Main gate is 1.5 miles on the right. Motorsports Blvd.

From Philadelphia I think this is the best route--not too many lights and pretty quick. It takes you right by the Riggins gas station (closest and best I've found so far that has 93 octane) and a Wawa. I would do it with a 24' trailer or so if not a toterhome. In my car it was of course not an issue. Much better than Exit 27 off of Rt 55.

Anyone going as a spectator?

Going tomorrow mid-morning to see some of the PCA club race and the Mazda races on Thunderbolt. Got a note from the track to take chairs--I guess there are no grandstands for these events.

I hear Ken is running his GT3 in PCA J class for the first time. This I want to see.

The schedule is attached to Post #9 in this thread: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=452905
