Hi Wayne,

Bucks County here, looking forward to another well planned run.

Looking forward to representing 968ers!

Is the route map available in advance of the event? I'd like to try to make it to this drive. It sounds like fun! It's an hour and a half from my house, so timing is EARLY. But if I can get The Frog suited up and ready, I'll try to be there. Thanks

Glad to have you both along! Jay, good that you could join us again!

No, the route map isn't posted. We give the route out when you arrive at the parking lot.

Hope to see you on the 19th!

Okay, the response on this has been phenomenal.. actually, so good that I'm going to have to try and find a backup group leader in case we need to split into 2 groups.

Is there anyone who is planning to attend that has a navigator (and preferably also a GPS) that would be up for leading a group?

We probably will not need you to lead a group, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

......pleeeeeeease! Big Grin

I don't have a navigator (coming alone) but I do have a GPS.

The reason that it's helpful to have both is that the navigator will read out the turns and the GPS will tell you when the turn is approaching. I've not actually managed to find a way to program a turn by turn route into my Garmin, but it has proven useful in letting me know the turn is approaching.

Well, we did the dry run for next weekend's Spring Fling this morning and I have to say that I love this drive.

There was a light fog as we crossed the bridge from New Hope into Lambertville and the river looked amazing.

The roads are in great shape and with the exception of one section of PA-32 all the roads are open. We'll need to make a slight alteration to our route to account for the section of rte. 32 that is closed, but otherwise we're in great shape.

Of all the drives that I've done this route has to be my favorite... a nice combination of fast and slow sections - some roller-coaster climbs and descents and most fun of all the slamming side to side curves.

Lake Nockamixon was quiet and ready for our invasion. Smile
