- Mark Fox - 05-01-2008 Drew, Congratulations! Great pics. Did they give you a set of flight wings? - Sechsgang - 05-01-2008 hmm...I may have to check if the steward has em...I guess he forgot to give em to me...haha - betegh9 - 05-04-2008 Sechsgang wrote: Quote:hmm...I may have to check if the steward has em...I guess he forgot to give em to me...haha Congratulations from me too! hock: Nice accomplishment and great pics. I sure like to meet you and shake your hand.................Now that you have your flight wings, we can meet at the Reading Airport on June 29th........... bring your best to the AX, otherwise I'll have to sandbag ALL my runs...... I'll like so see good competition show up and support the program. :dude::dude: - Sechsgang - 05-04-2008 well, at an autox, Im afraid I cant say I would be good competition...haha, for some reason, I never really did well in any of the events I was at the fact that the car is also running steering stops and can barely make a normal left turn on a road may be problematic as well...haha. But come Pocono if your there...and youll have all the competition you want! -Drew - betegh9 - 05-04-2008 Sechsgang wrote: Quote:well, at an autox, Im afraid I cant say I would be good competition...haha, for some reason, I never really did well in any of the events I was at the fact that the car is also running steering stops and can barely make a normal left turn on a road may be problematic as well...haha. But come Pocono if your there...and youll have all the competition you want! Excuses, excuses! Race cars are also great AX cars. I'll ask them to make an open easy course for you rather than a tight technical one. But if you tend to hit the steering stops, you could always THROTTLE seer. hock:hock: I wanted to sign up for Pocono in the worst way, but my engine is still in the process of being put together, and Performance Automotive could not promise the car to me in time. Scott Studer brought his cup car to an AX at NNJR a few times (what a nice car), and did quite well............ even though I beat him by a narrow margin. Scott is a great driver and I admire his dedication to the sport....... He has been great in organizing Porscherama from its inception for NNJR. - Sechsgang - 05-04-2008 I wont lie, i just dont like AutoXs that much...When I do them (so, so rarely) Ill take my DD and just slide the thing around for fun...but I get yelled at...haha - jakp993 - 05-04-2008 Drew, Great job! However, I can't say I'm surprised. Thanks fro representing RTR so well. Seems like everyone knows more than I do, what's your next ride? jack - Sechsgang - 05-04-2008 Im really talking it up with potential sponsors and possibly really getting some comfortable funding. I KNOW the next car Ill drive will be a cup, but if its personal money, its going to be a 996 gt3 or 996 gt3r(s) cup. If its sponsored, it will most likely be a grand-am spec 997cup...and it wont be randomly grand am spect either (as far as the future path is concerned...haha) I wont lie, the RTR members and instructors have had a huge roll in my driving and I never blow off a chance to remind anyone of that or the fact that we actually DO have the best Chief Instructor...and Im being completely serious. - Larry Herman - 05-04-2008 Drew, you certainly are getting quicker. As we discussed at Holberts, it will be interesting to see you in a car where you have more direct competition. I am always available for pointers. - Sechsgang - 05-04-2008 Im always listening! I cant wait for the competition, no better way to get faster than driving with better and faster drivers. Well see what happens! |
