- Larry Herman - 06-03-2008 There are really only 2 types of disk calipers, opposed piston and floating. The priniciples for each type hold regardless of brand. The biggest difference between different brands of opposed piston calipers is the particular type of pin or clip that is used to hold the pad in place. - STEVEMCMORN - 06-03-2008 I'm in ... if still space - Larry Herman - 06-03-2008 Yep, you're in Steve. Still a few spot left. - Wellardmac - 06-03-2008 Count me in. What time are you planning on starting? - Larry Herman - 06-03-2008 6:30. I'll e-mail directions later this week or once it fills up. - Larry Herman - 06-03-2008 6:30. Also, I will be replacing my front pads if you would like to use my RS America as a model. Additionally, a wire for the brake pad sensor, which had been bypassed, disconnected, causing the light to come on. I plan on reconnecting. This might be a simple job which you would want to describe to the attendees if you would like to use my car as an example. I'm not trying to get out of the work myself. It's a ten minute job. Thought you might want to share. - Larry Herman - 06-04-2008 Aaron, I still have one space available, so you are in. You can bring your car, and if time permits, we can look at it. - Larry Herman - 06-06-2008 We now have 12. Check your PMs. Everyone here is in. - Mike Andrews - 06-09-2008 Larry Herman wrote: Quote:There are really only 2 types of disk calipers, opposed piston and floating. So I take it you won't be doing any drum brakes hock: This sounds like a great event, wish I could be there. |
