Glen,

Sorry to hear about the car. I agree with Brian...you need a doctor, but I'm afraid I can't helpWink

I signed up at 12:05 on Tuesday AM.  I'm just paranoid about not getting in.  I was wait listed for fall pocono last year and didn't like it....

If memory serves, this event seemed to have light attendance last year.

Get back on the horse Glen!  Watkins is intimidating.  No room for mistakes.  Great track if you run clean.

I was there last year with Shattenbaum.  Many wrecks, folks went to hospital and they closed the track after two runs on Sunday due to broken Armco.

Glen,

It's good you are questioning things.  Thoughtfulness has never hurt anyone doing dangerous stuff.  But face it, you've made very rapid progress through lots of seat time and listening to your instructors.  Thats what will make you get even better with time.  If you want to see a real pussy driving the Glen, just watch out for my car!  I can't bear the thought of (even) scratching my car! Wink

Aaron,

I do have a special instrument for that.  Haven't seen the need to use it at RTR.

I'm not going to make it, family fun in Myrtle that week. I can't wait for that! Glen I don't know what happened to your car but I'm guessing from what's posted it wasn't good. Sorry, you have a really nice 993.

I have decieded not to attend any more events at Summit until they improve the surface.  I may go to the Glen that weekend.

Cutting back to 1 event per month this season - over budget on home remodel. Confusedhock:

Heading to thunderbolt in August w/ Schat.

Eric,

Why would you be so quick to write-off Summit Point? You have not been there since last year and can't really judge the track conditions for yourself.

Many are bashing the track and that's not really fair. I just returned from a 2-day event with Potomac and the track is not that bad. If folks are expecting the smooth pristine conditions just like immediately after last year's re-pave... well, it's not that smooth. I still like Summit Point in spite of its bumpy areas... and, there's only a few. This track has good rhythm and all the other areas still have good grip. You should come out to Summit Point in August in spite of it.

I'll post a hi-rez video in the next day or so from this past weekend and try to really look closely at the turns with issues. They're really not all that bad.

Not me. I like SP but I'm just skipping the RTR Aug event there. Big E has written of SP.

I like SP and the other courses there alot also, my problem is I just can't get there as much as I would like. And I only live 40 mins from the track!
