"Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine (1-Bottle) Anyone familiar with these wines know they are rare, collectible and exhibit exceptional drinkability. Bidding starts conservatively at $59.00 Description Red Wine Cabernet Sauvignon from Robert Mondavi California. The best Reserve offering since 1994 is the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Malbec and Petit Verdot. REVIEWS:
Wine Advocate The finest Private Reserve since the 1991, 1990, and 1987, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve is extraordinary. There are 8,000 cases of this blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, and small dollops of Merlot as well as Petit Verdot. A perfume of smoke, camphor, creme de cassis, cedar, and fruitcake is accompanied by a gentle giant of a wine. Powerful and impeccably balanced, with outstanding concentration, well-integrated wood, acidity, and tannin, and a long, nearly 60-second finish, this saturated ruby/purple-hued effort is a prodigious example of Cabernet Sauvignon. Anticipated maturity: now-2020+. Score: 94. —Robert Parker, February 2005. Wine Spectator A superrich, polished, multifaceted wine, with layers of ripe currant, blackberry, herb, cedar, sage and a touch of pencil lead. Deep and concentrated, the flavors pour through on the finish, and while the tannins are chewy, the texture is supple. Best from 2005 through 2012. Score: 94. —James Laube, November 15, 2004. Wine Enthusiast Contains 67% To Kalon Vineyard fruit. Still a baby. Closed, brooding, very deep, very dry. Fabulous cassis fruit, a huge wine. Lots of delicious, sweet new oak. Superbly balanced, impressive. Drinkable now, but best 2010-2020. Score: 94. —Steve Heimoff, June 01, 2005. http://www.robertmondaviwinery.com/index.cfm?method=storeproducts.showDrilldown&productid=b129e9ad-1cc4-fbb6-2348-3d596dfe116e&ProductCategoryID=3a7a437f-ba35-e447-21d3-f2ccaa5a1c48&OrderBy=PXPC.DisplayOrder%20Asc,%20P.Price1 .
- JIMK - 10-15-2009 Hey George, At last year's Tech meeting in Decembr, you talked about some custom tee's fro sale; did that ever come to fruition? Might they be for sale this w/e? - Mike Andrews - 10-15-2009 larrybard wrote: Quote:As for the week at LBI, don't get your hopes up but I'm willing to be flexible on the off chance that an in-season week goes unrented. But normally the house is booked pretty solid from mid-May through the end of September. Send me a PM if you have any questions. If you want another RTR member's opinion of the place, you can ask Graham or Boris about it. Larry, Ok, let's take a twist on this...... I plan on being there on Saturday, I'd love for you to take me out for a session (green group) and be my instructor. No pressure, just a little fun. Actually, there is a hidden agenda, if you are curious drop me PM or better yet, give me a call at 610-294-8257. - larrybard - 10-15-2009 Mike Andrews wrote: Quote:I plan on being there on Saturday, I'd love for you to take me out for a session (green group) and be my instructor. And since I don't see you on the Thunderbolt red list, I'd appreciate it if you would arrange in advance for one red band for me. I'll "PM" you. - Brian Minkin - 10-15-2009 More items for the silent auction. 24 volt cordless impact gun. 12 volt air compressor with accurate digital tire gauge.
