- Gene - 10-23-2008 Hmm, if it's only doing it during throttle off after being at WOT I'm not too concerned, that's "normal" for a turbo rotary. I had a report that I was doing it down the straightaway, it's possible I was off the gas early that time because of cars in front of me. - Darren - 10-23-2008 I always knew you were a flamer, this is not news. - fasthonda - 10-23-2008 Darren wrote: Quote:I always knew you were a flamer, this is not news. ha ha! ![]() we followed the red RX-7 in the blue group for at least 5 laps (i was instructing chris in the black GTi); the flames were pretty consistent, and only occurred on 'off throttle', or 'very light throttle' applications; we never saw them when you were having your foot to the wood...... and the quote about 'smell-o-vision' is pretty accurate; my eyes were watering, and chris's were too! quite a bit of blue and black smoke, when not being burned up in the flammage! todd - Gene - 10-23-2008 Blue smoke was a leaky oil line that was oozing onto the turbo hot side. I'm pretty sure that's fixed now. - bobt993 - 10-24-2008 Darren wrote: Quote:I always knew you were a flamer, this is not news. |
