OK! I'll check here down the street, in my neighborhood, but I don't know what is the come on rate to offer. It has been a number of years since I was chair, and I only paid a couple of hundred bucksConfusedhock:. I was a sweet talker, and they liked me......now in my older age, I am uglier and meaner!:X
My headlight is still busted. It fell out of it's socket under many G's while bracking into a corner at the last SCCCA AX. My xmas wish didn't come thru, so I guess I have to scrape up the dough for a new lens. The plastic lens is lighter than the glass one, but it is about $100.00 more. It must be French made!Cool I don't buy French wine, so, no plastic lens.

Sorry to hear that your lense is still broken. Did you work out what happened, was it just a lose fitting that popped out, or did something break?

As for AX sites, I'd suggest you drop a PM to Graham Knight if you have any ideas for new sites - I'm sure he would love to hear from you, especially considering that you're still well connected and might be able to help out. It would be great to have you show up run on a new RTR site. Smile

I run R rated tires ON THE STREET, and something better for AX. The heavy G forces breaking must have loosened things up. the poor car is 38 years old, something has to give. I am a little bit older than that and I am trying to keep myself togetherCool

True, we all feel our age eventually - it's just a question of whether we hold ourselves together with style and poise. Some of us do and some of us fall apart at the seams. Smile

Well, today, on MLK day, had a little time to check things out. The Unysis lots are being negotiated with other companies needing "parking", and weekends are used for some activities by the local police "drivers training". Until they do not have secured deals with the other outfits, they don't want to talk. Worse yet, the facilities manager hinted to me that they realy do NOT want car club stuff there, ad our chances of getting something is probably less than 10%.

Does anione in the club have a pilot's license so we can do a fly by of the area to look for lots? Anyone good with Google Earth to do the next best thing (fly by)?Confusedhock:

Nick,
It was not your position to contact Unisys on behalf of RTR without first consulting with the AX committee. Please talk to Graham if you feel the urge to do something like that in future.

Sorry!
I have mentioned about this lot last year and also at other times.........nothing was done. So, OK, who is " the comitee"? I have not seen the AX chair in any of these threads.
the way I see things, looks like I will be commuting out of the region to find AX events!Sad

Nick, we have a committee of 4 right now Graham, myself, STEVEMCMORN and Wellardmac. We are constantly in touch with each other at this point, working behind the scenes until we get everything hashed out. We had a strategy for Unisys that was already in progress and you may have short circuited it.

Does this mean that now we have to dress up like police officers and pretend we're out there for training?.....damn, now I'll have to go find my village people stuff from the 80's. It's going to clash with my driving shoes. Not good. [Image: 29_1_8.gif]...... Wink
