It did heat up quite a bit and it seemed like the pack of cars you were running with all slowed down about 2/3's of the way through -- not just you.hi darren! those were the Z211 fully treaded leftover hankooks; only 225 width (245 is my preferred size). i overworked them, and they overheated. even after our cooldown lap, and waiting for traffic in the paddock, the fronts were at 43 psi when i checked them!!!! way overinflated and overheated..... lack of an LSD really heats them up, too. and darren, great job getting down into the 1:30s! see you at VIR in a month??? ![]() todd (driver of the Probenstien) - Mark Fox - 06-26-2007 Quote: My 4 year old Hoosier S03's were totally shot by the time I got to Summit Point last weekend.Hi Jack, ![]() what I wanted to mention is, have you ever tried some of the tire preparations (i.e Formula V). If you have an older set of tires with some meat on them, It does a nice job of reviving the original stick. The down side is the products are made up heavily of mineral distillates and they stink, so you don't want them in your house or tow vehicle. - ccm911 - 06-26-2007 fasthonda wrote: Quote:those were the Z211 fully treaded leftover hankooks; only 225 width (245 is my preferred size). i overworked them, and they overheated. even after our cooldown lap, and waiting for traffic in the paddock, the fronts were at 43 psi when i checked them!!!! way overinflated and overheated..... Hey Todd: Isn't Ian giving you his leftovers? I am sure the freight from New Mexico would make that a winning proposition. ![]() - Nick - 06-28-2007 Todd's God - fasthonda - 06-29-2007 Nick wrote: Quote:Todd's God hi nick! that might be pushing it a bit! I thought that's how you know you are online there? The funny thing is the Ed K is FULL track left if he is behind certain people in T3...hehe...I hit the rocks one lap and was like "oops" and looked in the mirror and saw him way over there, cracked me up. Ask Ed about the dust smoke screen I laid out for him in T2 ![]() Also, if you drive a little closer, the stones hit the bottom of the car and don't scratch the paint. |
