- JeffConklin - 03-31-2008 FYI: A buddy of mine e-mailed the server group as 12:05am to see whats up. Here's the reply: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Kevin, It's open now - we had a time zone issue with the server. Sorry for the inconvenience! Mark ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ....For what it's worth Jeff - delanckc - 03-31-2008 I forwarded the reply to Carol (RTRREG account) so she would be aware. Sleep calls. Kevin - Bill Lehman - 04-01-2008 This was the first DE I tried to sign up for so I wasn't quite sure of the procedures. I ran into problems at shortly after 12:00 am and wasn't sure if it was me or the site. Somewhere I noticed that sign up time was stated as 12:01 EST. I was thinking that the problems could be caused by the early Daylight Saving Time and went back to bed, got up about 1:00 and registered "Pending" . Another poster questioned "Pending" Is this normal? When are you confirmed? Thanks, Bill L - JeffConklin - 04-01-2008 Yes Pending is normal. In a week or so Carol will send out confirmations via e-mail. Congress just went and changed it with no thought to the kind of PITA it would cause, nevermind the recent study that shows using DST now INCREASES energy use instead of saving it. Also, I tried to register but got a message that I'm not approved yet (this is the first RTR even I've tried to sign up for) I emailed Carol but haven't heard anything back. I know these fill up fast, am I screwed? hock: - AMoore - 04-02-2008 It is my recollection that you have to register with Carol at RTR and she then sets you up for registration at motorsportreg. Otherwise people could just assert that they are RTR members and get early registration. - Brian Minkin - 04-02-2008 You set yourself up (register on Motorsports Reg) as RTR and Carol must accept/verify you are an RTR member before you can register for our events when they open for members. |
