- Tony356993 - 03-10-2007 Quote:Tony, now as an instructor, how do you gauge when a student is ready to move up in experience level/group color? In other words, when instructing, do you watch your students [lap times] to determine whether or not the group they are in is fast enough and you find the student is being held back by other students on the track? Not to be a chicken and avoid the question but I'll let you know after the 3/31 instructor meeting. This will be a topic of conversation. We are going to try and come to an agreement (yeah right) with promotion protocol. I have my standards and they are not the norm. I'm very conservative about promotions. Search this forum for some of my previous comments about this. - smankow - 03-10-2007 bobt993 wrote: Quote:Please suggest to the moderator to move this thread to Club racing since lap times are specifically forbidden by our DE guidelines. Jack - JIMK - 03-24-2007 I use a calendar for lap timing. My first laps of the season are soon approaching. Right now I'm still practicing staying up late to register. But if I did use a timing device with more precison, I would be more interested the lap time "delta's" ; am I getting around consistently. See, if you have to worry about getting caught in traffic or waiting for a pass, you're not in 944NA! |
