While the Jackass is Passing you, yell out the window and tell him to invest into a set of Hoosier A6's. They are sticky out of the box......but may not last 3 sessions - Racingswh - 03-08-2007 IMO if someone is faster they should be pointed by even if it's just out of the pits. If you catch them later in the session they should return the favor and point you by. - stentech - 03-08-2007 I like driving my 3600 pound 4wd waterbuffalo because it heats the tires up by the time you back out of your parking spot in the pits. It's like having a fat chick on your sholders in antartica. I am sweating just thinking about it. SM - bobt993 - 03-09-2007 Tony, I think yellow for first lap should be a lower run group issue. Black/Red drivers should know how to handle cold tires. One thing I get to practice at DE for a club race is getting tires hot a fast as I can. I use the first lap to slide the car around. I seldom see issues with this in black/red run groups. - Phokaioglaukos - 03-09-2007 Bob, I just put up short poll on the yellow flag question. - Brian Minkin - 03-09-2007 bobt993 wrote: Quote:Tony, I think yellow for first lap should be a lower run group issue. Bob, I think that is true for our region but I have driven with a few regions west of here in their equivalent of black and have been black flagged first lap from someone going off. Lost at least half the session untill they got it cleaned up. This has happened more then once. - stentech - 03-09-2007 We would hope that higher level run group guys would not need yellow but the fact is it is better safe than sorry. This is De not Racing. - Mike Andrews - 03-09-2007 FWIW, we've had people go off on the first lap (under yellow). If you have your head up your ass it doesn't matter what the flag condition is.... The thing I don't understand is people that go off on their cool down lap...... - stentech - 03-09-2007 The tards are amung us everywhere - Tony356993 - 03-10-2007 Quote:If you have your head up your ass it doesn't matter what the flag condition is....Sorta what I said earlier - just a bit more direct ![]() |
