However, until like the Spring Fling drive out on Sunday, the 1st RTR AutoX+ roadshow event of 2007 at Warminster will go ahead regardless of rain, snow or shine ........ (only reason would be cancelled would be lightning .. but no sign of lightning in forecast). It could be argued that some rain on Sunday may make the event even more fun (but I'm not gonna try!) but it will definitely test your drivings skills to the max!

Hope to see some of the guys who were planning on going to the spring fling at Warminster instead.........

Ugh. I was gonna pre-reg but now I'm not so sure....43 F with 22 mph. winds/rain. The old Nissan is itching for a fight, though. Somebody twist my arm. :?

C'mon out Hank!   We'll be running in the morning and it looks like it may not start raining until after lunchtime... fingers crossed  Wink

Well, don't expect any of the PORSCHE garage queens to show up if there is the slightest chance of ONE puffy little cloud in the sky!

I want to know who has the GANAS to show up..........no matter what! I have not seen too many Porsche guys registered for the event. :X Aren't the people that took the school REQUIRED to register for the event? Confusedhock:Tongue

The 8 or 9 drivers in the novice school will be signed up by the SCCA online, so their entries aren't showing... Graham can't drive due to back surgery, but there are some folks I talked to who are waiting for walk up registration... I hope to drive, but we'll see how it goes Smile

There are 138 preregistered, so with an event cap of 180 I expect that you can sign up in the morning... hope to see you there  Smile

NEVER HAS HAVING FUN BEEN SOOOO MISERABLE........

Completely persisting down all the time but great to see 7 hardy souls + Beth turn up for first ever 2007 RTR Roadshow event at Warminster thsi morning......

Today will go down as a good story to tell in 20 odd years rather than a fun time but pleased I went as (i) Good to get to know the other guys a bit better and (ii) I fulfilled my objective of not being last (just!) - coming 5th of out 6 in the Rtr run group:X

Gotta dash down to DC for a meeting tomorrow so will post final results, new Pax scores and ranking by mid-this week. Congrats to Website Pete who I think won the Rtr group

...... See y'all next time???

I've never been so wet and cold in my life! It was fun once in the car and warm. Nice to meet everyone and look forward to the next one. Where did Nick go! Did he melt!

Clothes drenched.

Fingers blue.

Toes numb.

Fond memories of racing in a monsoon-- priceless.

(typed only after I could feel my fingers)

Nick went home in a freeeeeeeeezing, fogged up car. After hot soup, hot tub and a nap, he was still shivering at 6 pm.
Sorry for being a bad sport, I would have loved to sit in on some of your runs, but my mind and body would not cooperate. Enjoyed the comoraderie and socializing......... while it lasted.
Next Sunday is the first NNJR-PCA event up at Giant's stadium.......any of you wana go up?

Well now that we are all warm and dry, I wanted to thank you all for coming out and supporting the first event of our AutoX Roadshow  Smile   It was great to meet everyone

Even though we got drenched on Sunday, it seems everyone had a great time at the novice school on Friday and Saturday bonding with their cars--lot's of smiling faces   Big Grin
