- Sechsgang - 03-31-2007 Guys, I REALLY appreciate your support! just goes to show...RTR really is the best... thanks again...Im going to try to get some sleep now... - michael lang - 04-01-2007 Sechsgang, don't worry about it too much. You said this is technically your first DE with RTR. I stayed up in March to register for Shenandoah, I have never driven with these guys before either. So technically I'm not in the group but before registration I made sure I had selected RTR-PCA under group affiliation. Motorsportreg.com would not allow me to register either. I had no choice but to wait an extra week. I have been "waitlisted" since Mar 7, I log onto that site everyday to check my registration. I know it is frustrating at first but you have to trust that all will work out and you will be on the track for Pocono. - Tony356993 - 04-01-2007 Drew, Hang in there. As Brian stated, you would have known you had been accepted into the RTR/Motorsports data base by getting a confirmation email from Carol that you were accepted in to RTR database. After being accepted into the database, you would be able to register for specific events with RTR. Quote:From the RTR web site: If there was a glitch in your account and your account had previously been confirmed by Carol but the database did not update properly, I'm sure she can take care of the situation for you. Remember, this is a new system for the club and for Carol. There will be some bugs in any systems commencement. Be patient and do not forget, this club is run by volunteers who generously give their time for the benefit of the rest of us. - bobt993 - 04-01-2007 It's really just Carol's sense of humor being April 1st............................... - larrybard - 04-01-2007 My PCA membership may the problem in my son's case. I just checked the PCA site and my wife is listed as a contact (and, as I seem to recall, included in my family membership). Unfortunately I can't seem to figure out how to edit the information to substitute my son for my wife; when I try to do so the submitted information seems to be ignored. Same is true for adding him as a new relationship. Frankly the items are not intuitive (at least for me) -- e.g., "Target ID," "Rel Type" and "Target Rel Type". I'm not sure whether I'm the tartet or the new relationship is, and in any case how the entries are to be completed, or even if there is any combination that won't be rejected, since nothing I have tried works yet. Sorry, just sort of venting. This may have to wait until I can actually talk to someone at PCA Monday. Larry - jakp993 - 04-01-2007 Gang, As a reminder... 1. You must set up a Motorsportreg.com account 2. You must ensure that you have RTR listed as one of your clubs 3. You must enter your membership information. and most most importantly... 4. Carol must confirm your information! She physically checks that each person is a legit RTR-PCA member. I wish we didn't have to do that last step, but you should see the folks that are saying they are RTR members on Motorsportreg. This last manual step is the only way we can actually ensure we allow official RTR members to be able to register before non-members. So, setup your acounts early so that last manual step can be completed before registration opens. Carol had every account confirmed as of early yesterday. 9 new accounts showed up in the last 24 hours. She's verifying these right now on the other computer. Anyone that completed steps 1-3 yesterday should receive a confirmation msg shortly. You can then register. Take care, Jack - smankow - 04-01-2007 Larry, in your email to Carol, did you mention that David had driven with RTR last season? Steve - bobt993 - 04-01-2007 Larry, I looked at this for you. I do not believe you can change the affiliate member online once established, unless it is a renewal (which you cannot until 60days prior to expiration). Option 2 is for your son to become a member on his own. (many people do this anyways). Option 3 is to unfortunately, to wait until Monday and call PCA. - Graham - 04-01-2007 Larry, for 40 bucks, make your son a PCA member and he can get the PCA rag at college! That should impress the girls! I think Bobt993 is right, you can change the affiliate member only upon renewal. I ran into the same issue last year. Good luck! - Brian Minkin - 04-01-2007 I Think Marty can change the affiliate member for you. |
