- JimWirt - 11-11-2009 Okay so I cannot buy the cheap belts because the adjusters suck. So will look for new old stock. If any one sees any deals let me know. Thanks Bob and Darren - larrybard - 11-11-2009 Jim, You can get RJS Jan 2010 SFI 16.1 Spec. 5 point latch type harnesses for as little as $75 (complete with shipping), but I don't know how difficult they are to adjust. Larry - Darren - 11-13-2009 Here's a good deal at OG Racing: $224 SPARCO FIA 6-POINT COMPLETE HARNESS SET - EXPIRES 2013 http://www.ogracing.com/catalog/3-Closeouts/273-Harnesses-Restraints/item-1616-SPARCO-6-POINT-COMPLETE-HARNESS-SET-WAREHOUSE-CLOSEOUT ![]() - larrybard - 11-13-2009 So 2008 belts, with a 2013 expiration, means we could wear them for the entire 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 driving seasons, right? And they're giving a 25% discount from full price, because they can't be worn for a full 5 seasons. So they can only be worn for 20% fewer seasons than originally intended, but giving a 25% discount. To me that means they're really giving an effective discount of something more like 5%. Not all that compelling, in my view. Unless I'm missing something. - Darren - 11-13-2009 Do you know that you'll be driving the same car 4 years from now? Maybe you'll wreck your car and have to throw them out anyway. - larrybard - 11-13-2009 Darren wrote: Quote:Do you know that you'll be driving the same car 4 years from now? I guess you've seen my driving lately, or been talking to my last instructor. ![]() - bobt993 - 11-13-2009 Based purely on Darren's own driving............... ![]() Larry, you can beat them up a bit also. I managed to get more like 35% off and even more if your willing to haggle. They can't re-date the harnesses. Good find by Darren to show you some of the opportunities out there. - JimWirt - 11-13-2009 Thanks I will give them a call!!!!!! - JimWirt - 12-07-2009 Bought the Race Quip belts. They are $199,99. Fia approved. |
