If you are using the jacking points on the car for the jack itself, where is the proper place to put a jack stand?

What year/model? Rule of thumb would be 'some place that will not collapse if it took the weight, or punch a hole through the surface, or flex/slide, or damage anything' =)

I went to Amazon.com looking to order the "Common Sense Policy & Procedures" manual but came up with zero in my search. Can anyone tell me where I can buy one??

What happens when someone pulls the air hose to use an air gun with it while someone is under the car?........ I don't know Jack about air jacks.
