Graham, Glad to have you join us - welcome to the AX forum!

Hopefully you found some of our discussion interesting.

i) As you will see from previous posts Elizabeth and Brian have had contacts that might be useful to us.

ii) We already have timing equipment, but getting a whiteboard and having one of the course workers doing posting might be useful - there is usually at least one person to spare. We should see if you can get us some money for a whiteboard and some pens. Smile

iii) I'm glad to help out on the AX committee. I don't have a lot of experience, but I don't mind joining in to make the driving experience better.. hard to say no when you're aiming at making your own driving experience better. Smile

Thanks for the heads up on November 5th. I hadn't seen that one posted yet.

Welcome Graham!
I guess that the best people to ask about the warminster site is SCCA Philly region guys. I would not set my sights soly on that site, SCCA also uses other sites since they could not get too many dates at Warminster. One should pursue at the same time Unysis, Mongomeryville mall, and now I have also seen an empty lot on the north side of Willow Grove Mall where Strawbridge has closed.

The North Lot in Montgomeryville mall is tiny.

Compared to Warminster, yeah... but more flat, useable space then we have now.  The Unisys site looks good, how big is it?

- mikehoyer - 10-02-2006

The usable size of the Unisys lot is 240 x 105 yards

A little too small.

How big is Unisys?  Does the Montgomery CCC at Rt 202 & Morris Rd, Blue Bell have any usable lots?

The Montgomery CCC @ 202&Morris Rd doesn't have any usuable lots:X They are large, but they have grassy areas everywhere.

The unisys lot appears to have stop signs on both sides of the road through the parking lot. I just measured the Large Rectangle of the Northernly section of the lot. See above for the dimensions

How about the stadium parking lots down town?  Where the Vet was?
