- KennyB - 05-24-2008 George, They're right over there, next to my key. Kenny - George3 - 05-24-2008 K- Did you ever find your key? - KennyB - 05-25-2008 No, but a replacement is only $300+ so it's no biggie. Doohhh!:X - George3 - 05-29-2008 ouch ! - KennyB - 06-02-2008 And to make my weekend at Pocono even more memorable, it turns out I picked up a piece of metal (looks like a fragment of a piston ring) in a rear tire (just had to be one of the BIG, EXPENSIVE ones). Had a slow leak since. Finally plugged it yesterday, but I'll need new shoes for the Glen. - George3 - 06-02-2008 Kenny............... If you haven't repaired the tire yet, do a HOT PATCH instead of a plug. It's a better fix and is applied from the inside of the tire. - KennyB - 06-03-2008 You're right, George. As it turns out, the tire (regardless of type of repair) isn't going to WG, so I'll use it around town till the tread is gone (not much longer anyway, maybe a few months). I didn't want to mount/dismount except for new rubber, so I just went with a plug (did it myself). - George3 - 06-03-2008 K - - Not sure, but it sounds like you only replaced one rear tire. You may want to consider buying an evenly matched pair... only if they're substantially worn. (I'm not trying to spend your money, only offering my opinion) G - AMoore - 06-04-2008 KennyB wrote: Quote:You're right, George. I actually plugged a tire on Friday. |
