I have used WSIB for the past 2 years. My policy ends this July. I spoke to their rep today; interesting conversation. Last year their DE premium revenues were approx $500K; their paid claims was also approx $500K. Majority of claims were GT3's and Ferrari Challenge cars. They are going to continue to write policies for tracks and auto facilities but will not be in the DE business, even for individual events. They are recommending Lockton Affinity. I expect their rates will also increase as market competition declines.

Interesting! Been watching this thread... wonder what other options there are?

Other than lockton, I'm not sure. My best to you and your bride. See you at the track

Lockton seems to be the only legit provider left.

I have purchased track insurance for the past two years and have just renewed for the 2011 season.  I operate a fleet of vehicles and have used my commercial broker.  He also has the Andretti family as a client so he knows a few things about this subject.  I would highly reccomend Bob Miller for your consideration.

Sorry mates,  I received word this week that Chubb is withdrawing from the HPDE market as well.  Brown and Brown suggested the PCA program.  Guess I'll get onthat web site next.

FYI - If anyone went for the Lockton Affinity annual policy and decided to put in all their RTR events up front, the September Pocono Event was not listed. This is because RTR was not sure of the actual date until now. So, I just called them today and had them add that event to their list of "insurable" events.

No worries though, as their annual policies can be modified throughout the year as plans change - just make sure you have the policy updated prior to midnight the day before the 1st day of the event you plan on attending.

I just heard about a company that NASA endorses called The Great America Insurance Co.

Does anyone have any insight on this company. I know Lockton is PCA endorsed, just trying to find a low cost alternative that can be trusted.

I also received my notice that WSIB has canceled all HPDE coverage.
