I have been working hard on avoiding this by braking almost to the apex instead of early throttle at turn in. I was suprised to see this -- certainly couldn't feel it. There must be tons of grip on that left rear wheel. I suppose braking later and trailing through would help keep some weight forward, but that is compensating for the real problem which I'm thinking is not enough rear spring rate...There is a lot of compression on that left rear. - bobt993 - 09-26-2007 Darren, you asked where I get .5 secs a lap on you and I think this where. I LFB in that turn until the car wants to spin. I am at least two more feet into the apex by doing so. Fortunately PSM won't allow you do that so your screwed!!! Wahhhhh. - catchacab - 09-26-2007 JIMK wrote: Quote:Mike great these are some shots! I really like how your images depict the sensation of speed versus a real high shutter stopping everything. Great compositions too. Jim, To get the blur we need you to drive faster. ![]() ![]() I will be practicing the blur technique at the Glen on Monday and Tuesday. I just need Brian to drive faster than 120 mph. Maybe the wildlife is attracted to his red car, just like a bull is attracted to the moving red cape at a bull fight. - Darren - 09-26-2007 bobt993 wrote: Quote:Darren, you asked where I get .5 secs a lap on you and I think this where. Wahhhhh.Yeah I know for sure that some people can make a few car lengths on me coming out of T4. Kenny gets me about 2.5 car lengths there. - Sechsgang - 09-26-2007 The only time I was lifting was when somehow...my sticker hoosiers ended up with 50 psi in them...ehem... I didnt get the problem on the cup sports...but still...looks damn cool anyway! BTW Bob...I had a GREAT time following you and that was probably one of the best things Ive done for quite some time...you taught me alot! - Brian Minkin - 09-26-2007 catchacab wrote: Quote:JIMK wrote:Quote:Mike great these are some shots! Thats all she's got. - catchacab - 09-26-2007 September 30th begins the great deer migration to Watkins Glen. - Brian Minkin - 09-26-2007 catchacab wrote: Quote:September 30th begins the great deer migration to Watkins Glen.I sent them a donation for their cause. ![]() - JIMK - 09-26-2007 catchacab wrote: Quote:JIMK wrote:Quote:Mike great these are some shots! Actually I think you might want to slow your shutter speed to lose some of the "STOP ACTION" effect you are getting. I will however endeavor to get faster JIC. - JIMK - 09-26-2007 bobt993 wrote: Quote:Jim, take the license plate off the car at the track (put it on your "do list"). Replace it with something offensive for guy/gal behind you (Chris would approve). The people that have any interest in seeing a plate at the track usually have their own cameras.Sounds like we might need another thread for suggestions, although it might turn out to be a "self inflicted wound" when "BLEW BY YOU" is turfing it up! |
