Do we have the location and interest in sponsoring, on or own or with others, a street survival class for new drivers? You can read about the program here: http://www.streetsurvival.org/, but it's basically an autocross aimed at helping new drivers learn some street car control skills.

DelVal BMW CCA has sponsored one last year (http://www.delvalbmwcca.org/ss06.html), perhaps in cooperation with the Philly Region of SCCA.

Would this be a good addition to our program? I'm not an autocrosser, but I'd volunteer to assist a street survival school in any way I can.

I'd be interested in having my kids go through such a class.

Hi Chris - We're aware of this programme and it looks very good but we are looking into the possibility of holding our own car control / AX novice skool in conjunction with DE team later this year so this wouldn't be part of our official programme. If we can't manage to put on our own event, we would recommend this to anyone with kids.

Cheers Steve
