Subject: New England Concours d'Elegance

Dear Mr. Becker,

Hemmings Motor News will be holding its second New England Concours
d'Elegance on July 20 at the Stratton Mountain Resort in Vermont, and one of
the featured cars will be the 1973 and earlier Porsche 911. For this
invitation-only event, we have set aside a space for the display of
12 cars in this class. We would like to invite members of the PCA's Zone
2 to submit their cars for consideration.

Each car owner, and his or her guest, will receive free admission to the
Concours. Minor children will receive free admission as well. At least one
photograph of each car selected for the display will be featured in Hemmings
Motor News; in addition, we may select certain cars for full feature
treatment in our monthly magazine Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car.

The New England Concours d'Elegance will be held on the golf course at
Stratton Mountain Resort in the Vermont's beautiful Green Mountains. The
Concours caps a weekend of events that begins with a tour from our
headquarters in Bennington to Stratton on Friday, July 18, and an
open-to-all car show on Saturday, July 19. More information about the
Concours is available at http://www.hemmings.com/events/concours.html
<http://www.hemmings.com/events/concours.html> ; details about Stratton
Mountain are at www.stratton.com <outbind://36/www.stratton.com> .

Interested 911 owners can contact me directly at this email address.
They should submit photos of their cars -- digital images, preferably.
These photos will be used solely for deciding on which vehicles will be
invited, and will not be published. We are seeking cars that have been
restored to show condition, or have been lovingly preserved since new, and
would especially like to know about examples that are particularly rare or
noteworthy.

Please extend this invitation to your members in Zone 2, and feel free to
contact me if you have any questions.

Many thanks,

Dave LaChance

Wow! That is AWESOME! I love HS&EC! Unfortunately, I have a 912, not a 911, and will be on vacation that weekend, but this is a really great event. I've read about it in the mag and they get a lot of feature cars from this event. Mine's more of a "Driveable Dream" contender, but it would be great to see some RTR members' cars in this year's show!

Hopefully someone can enter this and we can get some representation!
