With the price of gas and diesel fuel these days it looks like I may not be doing too many DE's this year. Anybody else feel the same?

What can done!

We could break out the old Schwinns hiding in our garages, and track them.  We will even be able to drop some lbs.  I wonder what our lap times would be like?

I bet ya, that the run groups would under-go some change.Big Grin

dmano, looking at the list of cars that are in your stable one would think that fuel economy is last thing you would be worried about.

They are all parked for now. Until I come up with a cylinder drop thingy to turn them into 4 cyl. while driving. Hard to do when they are not computer driven F/I cars.

My Acura used about 2 gallons/session Smile

Agreed though Dave, towing fuel is suddenly a serious consideration.  $340 to VIR, $160 or so to Summit Point.  Then another $100 tech inspection, registration fees, etc....

Wow........... nice.

David and Darren, you both bring up a good point.  The fuel cost of the tow rig is probably more than the cost of fuel used on the track.

How about race fuel?  I always thought that since it was so expensive that the price pretty much stayed the same.  Is this the case, or has it risen as well?

Time to get one of these guys.  I am seriously considering this option.........

Right now race fuel has stayed pretty steady to last years cost. You just don't buy it at the tracks as they charge a LOT. I buy my fuel from Lucky's Race Cars in Pheonixville he sells VP very cheep.

How much is that? At Summit I think someone said it was $7.50, either 100 or 110, same price.

I use 93 and decided to get a rack put on my trailer so I can bring my own.
