- NorthCoventry993cab - 11-27-2008 My driver's side window switch went bad, I have a new one on the way. The National PCA tech site says to just pull it out to replace it, is it that simple?? Can you do it w/o taking off the door panel?? Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving! - ninjabones - 11-30-2008 Yes, it's that simple. Pull the switch from the door panel. Unplug the switch from the wire harness (be careful to not let the wire harness slip back behind the door). Plug the new switch in, and then push it back into place. 30 second repair tops. - bobt993 - 11-30-2008 Yes it is simple, but make sure you take your time getting the switch out of the panel. There is a plastic outer ring that can become unclipped from the switch itself. As Glen mentioned, the harness can fall back inside the panel. Use a wire tie or flexible piece of mechanics wire around the harness after you pull the switch out (just in case). |
