Okay, I've decided that the next mod for the car will be installation of an aero kit (front bumper and side skirts without the fixed wing).

My question for the board is, has anyone hads this done locally, if so, by who and how much did it cost?

It's probably a job I could do as a DIY if I can find someone who can get a good match on the paintwork. I'd like to price both options, but the first task is to find someone good to do the paint job.

why no wing?  I prefer the GT2/3 wings over the "taco"

I prefer the automatic wing... it's just seriously cool.

I'm not a big fan of the fixed wings. In my case I'm not tracking the car, so I don't have to worry about handling at high speed. Mostly a cosmetic preference.

okay, I'll give you that the Misha GTII is a very nice wing.

I showed the Misha to my wife... it's the only wing that she likes, so depending on how the car handles after the partial aerokit is installed I could end up with a GT2 wing within the year.... we'll see.

Well, discussion over at Rennlist and an email to Joel Reiser at PCA convinced me that the best option for me (not wanting the taco wing) is the partial aero kit with an RoW M030 suspension.

The Misha wing has been found to destabilize cars, so I'll stay away from that. I've discussed this with several people who have the partial aero kit and found that the stock car is perfectly stable in the 100mph range. Above that the car can feel a little light. The car is not good above 120mph.

That all changes if you install the RoW M030. With that modification you're good at 160mph and have rock solid stability.

... so I'll probably go ahead with the partial aero kit, keep my mechanical wing, then do the suspension upgrade sometime next year. Smile

What is the reason you are installing this partial aero kit?  For looks or high speed stability?

Looks. I doubt I'll ever take the car to speeds where the stability is a factor.
