- AMoore - 10-13-2008 I am replacing the sway bar drop links on my 1993 964. When I try to loosen the top nut that holds the link in place, it turns the entire ball joint that is attached to the nut. How can I freeze the ball joint/bolt so that the nut can be removed? Is there hex or torx fitting on the other side of the ball? - George3 - 10-13-2008 Do you have both wheels off the ground? - AMoore - 10-13-2008 George3 wrote: Quote:Do you have both wheels off the ground?I did at the time I attempted removal. - LouZ - 10-15-2008 Aaron Is this the drop link that you are replacing? there is a hex "nut" on the back end of the stud. Just use a wrench in the back and undo the top nut. Good luck - Larry Herman - 10-15-2008 Thanks for posting that Lou. - AMoore - 10-16-2008 Lou, thanks. I dropped the car off at Dougherty's. Inexpensive install. I had to get my front tires rebalanced anyway. |
