Thank you for taking a moment to visit our latest classic Porsche offering. This low mileage 1989 Porsche 911 Cabriolet is finished in the finest color combination available, Guards Red over Black leather with a black top. 1989 is arguably one of the finest years for the 911 Carrera as it features the G50 5 speed transmission and represents the last year of the Carrera body style. This particular example comes with all the pedigree you might hope to find on such a car, including original stamped books, complete service records since birth and all original body panels. The car is accident free and runs perfectly. The air conditioning blows cold, the engine and transmission are perfect and the car is fully serviced with new tires and brakes under 1,000 miles ago. The paint is glossy and free of material defect. The interior, while original, looks like it's been fully restored! The previous owner was a Porsche enthusiast and he prided himself on the products he has used to maintain the car. The car has had three owners, our most recent one owning it from 2000 to present.

About the 1989 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet:

The 1989 Porsche Carrera is an excellent combination of performance and durability for the money. Sports Car Market Magazine states The 1984-89 Carrera, as the final iteration of the original wide-body normally aspirated 911, is a good choice for someone looking for an affordable sports car coupled with a high degree of refinement, reliability and sparkling performance.

Peter Zimmerman, well-known Porsche master mechanic and author of the ultimate book on buying 911s, The Used Porsche Story, states The 1989 Carrera is a wonderfully refined car that is probably the easiest Porsche to drive in town or traffic, and is extremely stable on the open road.

The 3.2 Carreras have few vices and make great daily drivers. Many Porsche enthusiasts believe the 84-89 3.2 Carreras to be the best balance of the early lightweight 911s and the comfort/modern conveniences of the newer 911s. Baron's magazine recently cited the 3.2 Carerra as a future classic and collectible car.

Auto Fiends .com recently cited the 3.2 911 as one of "5 Future Classics Under $30Grand And Less Than 30 years Old". They write: "The bigger power of the 1984-on Carrera 3.2 flat six resharpens the edge that was lost when emissions and impact bumpers came into play. Fairly simple by modern standards, if you pick up a well looked after car, and have a good (and reasonable) specialist mechanic, you can drive one of these every day".

THIS CAR:

The paint is excellent with a deep gloss and no dings or excessive stone chips. The body panels have the original factory vehicle identification number (VIN) labels proving no major accidents (see photos). The windshield has no chips or cracks. The interior is in excellent original condition. The car is garage kept and the owner is a non-smoker.

The tires have plenty of miles remaining. This car drives very nicely, as strong, straight and tight as a well-maintained Porsche 911 should.

This is an excellent opportunity to buy a classic 911 Carrera in classic colors that has been set up as a driver's car. Guards Red is one of the best colors for 911 coupes because it shows the body lines so well and is particularly classic and handsome to this day.

For any questions I can be reached at 610-742-2279. The car is available for inspection between 9am and 6pm during the auction period. The car is located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles from Center City Philadelphia.
