So at this point I have the calipers off and the hub nuts removed.  Do I need to remove the half shaft from the hub in order to get the Hub and emergency brake plate out?

Also, one of my hub bolts was 30mm, while the other was 32mm.  Is this normal?

Thanks so much.

Different size nuts (30 &32 mm) doesn't sound right.

You'll need to remove the axle to get the bearings out.  Some good tips (& home made tools) to get the bearings out and in again on Pelican website.

Don't think E-brake removal is necessary, but I removed because I had the whole arm off.

There was an axle change in '85.  My '87 911 has 32 mm nuts.
