My current driving shoes are starting to get worn out and needing replacement.  I found Piloti #32 , Speedway and Prototipo driving shoes on sale online for under $30.  Worth it?  Any one of the three models mentioned possibly better than the others?  Thanks.

Larry,

I have had Piloti shoes in the past and they are quality.  However I prefer a medium to high top driving shoe and the Piloti are like standard sneakers.

May not be typical, but I bought a pair of Piloti (I think Mulholland) but could not wear them.  They had a bunched up seam that dug into the side of my foot, one shoe worse than the other, but both had it.

I wore them for a few days hoping to break them in, but still no good.  I didn't try to return them since they were now used.  Very happy with the Simpsons.

Had Simpson before and they are good.  Now using Sparco "Race" and they are the best I have had to date.

I use Oakley's mid-height.  Very comfortable and never loose under heavy heel-toe action but doubt you'll find them for $30.

I've been resisting comment, but have now failed:

Driving too hard.

Braking too much.

Wearing them to pick-up bars to help in chatting up young lovelies.

Running from the boyfriends of the young lovlies.

Chris, maybe the rumors are true about the drinking water over there, or you've been drinking something more powerful.  It would be hard to find someone who fit that description less than I do.

Just letting my imaginatino go as I sit at my PC in the office. Now back to some chunky indentures.
