We're preparing a new survey to send by e-mail to all members for whom we have an e-mail address.

Those of you who frequent this forum are among the most engaged members of the Club. If you have any suggested questions for the survey or areas where we should solicit comment, please let us know in this thread or by private message.

The Board wants to provide activities of value for as many members as possible, and a survey seems to be one good way to learn what some of our less active members might like to do with us.

What about requesting ALL RTR members to fill out a form with their e-mail address, or get from National the list? Then everyone can be up to speed and thus the survey can be distributed to all and at very low cost or NONE.

Nick, we have put notices in Der Gasser for RTR members to update their info at PCA National, where we get contact info for our members, but still lots of people just do not do so.

Last time we advertised the survey in Der Gasser also. Guess now many completed it from that source. Exactly two members.

What to do.....?

For those who attend an event we can certainly try to get e-mail addresses. That might help a little bit. Or we can give you the addresses of members without e-mail addresses on file, and you can visit them? Big Grin

Chris,  every membership meeting, rally, social, AX, DE............ and so on, attendees should be told that this is the way the club is moving into this cantury........ e-mail, even though it is a decade late.  Tell the membership that if they want to be involved and get up to date info of upcoming events, etc, they must supply e-mail info.

My 2 cents.

If a person does not want to provide a correct email address in this day and age then one can assume they do not want to receive any infomation from the club and therefore they understand that communication between member and club will not function optimally. I would probably bet that a high majority of the members with unfunctioning email are also the members that are not actively involved.

I received an email from the President of the Delaware PCA (no I'm not affiliated with them) and he said he figured out how to email local DE/PA/NJ PCA members through the national site. The purpose was to advertise their club's upcoming 2010 events.

Good marketing in my opinion! If there is a will there should be a way....
