Hey Gang,

I have a quick question reguarding Jefferson Circuit. Which way will we be running?

The reason I ask is, since this will be my first time running this event, I was doing some internet searches for in car vids to get familiar with the track.

My searches brought up videos of both Jefferson "normal", (which had the pits on the right hand side of the main straight) and Jeffrerson "reversed" (which had the pits on the left hand side of the main straight.)

My luck would be that Id study one way and of course we'd be running the other way.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Jim Z.

The track was made to run in both directions.  In one direction the esses are increasing radius, in the other they are decreasing radius.

This is one track that you don't need to study videos for -- there are only 6 turns!

I'd spend the time studying Shenandoah instead.

Darren,

I am also watching Shenandoah vids. Obviously alot more to that course than Jefferson.

Since I've never been on either course, I'd like to be as prepared as possible for both tracks before I get there.

I'm sure some of you guys can run both courses in your sleep, in reverse!

I'm not there yet. One track at a time.

Thank you for the esses info.

hi!

my suggestion would be to bring extra brake pads (especially the front) and extra tires.  both those tracks are hard on brakes and tires...

i like both of them, though!!!  especially shenandoah!   and don't forget to go to the skid pad training (assuming its held).  awesome experience!

have fun!

Jefferson is especially tough on brakes because they never really get a chance to cool down.

And the really cool thing about Jefferson is because it's so short you get alot of laps per session. I absolutely cannot wait for this season to get started.
