- larrybard - 04-09-2010 Friend will be driving at Lime Rock Monday and would like to know pressure recommendation for Michelin PS2s on a dead stock 997 Carrera 2S. I guess he's the equivalent of white run group. Thanks, Larry - Bill Lehman - 04-09-2010 With my Cayman on PS2s, 35F and 38R hot was about right. This setting was about 28F and 30R cold. - 997S22 - 04-10-2010 Similar to input from Bill above, I was happy with them at - 34/38 Hot on my 2006 997S in white group - generally started at 30/33 cold and let some out as needed after early sessions. In lower groups I ran at 35/38 hot, but was pushing in corners at higher white group pace - dropping front just 1 psi resolved that. Could try 35/38 and drop to 34/38 if it is pushing. At white pace or higher PS2's tend to get greasy late in session after they really heat up. I'll be at Lime Rock Monday also if he wants to chat. - larrybard - 04-11-2010 Thanks to both of you for your comments, which I have passed along to my friend. 997S22 he would indeed like to meet you at Lime Rock. I'm sending you a PM - George3 - 04-11-2010 . Larry- As others have mentioned, it's a matter of how hard your friend drives and also his driving style. But ultimately, he wants to come in with HOT tire pressures something less than 40 PSI. That's what I ran when I had my Boxtser S with Michelin POS's.... sorry, I meant Michelin PS's. ![]() -George - larrybard - 04-11-2010 Thanks, George. |
