Friend will be driving at Lime Rock Monday and would like to know pressure recommendation for Michelin PS2s on a dead stock 997 Carrera 2S.  I guess he's the equivalent of white run group.

Thanks,

Larry

With my Cayman on PS2s, 35F and 38R hot was about right.  This setting was about 28F and 30R cold.

Similar to input from Bill above, I was happy with them at -  34/38 Hot on my 2006 997S in white group - generally started at 30/33 cold and let some out as needed after early sessions.  In lower groups I ran at 35/38 hot, but was pushing in corners at higher white group pace - dropping front just 1 psi resolved that.  Could try 35/38 and drop to 34/38 if it is pushing.

At white pace or higher PS2's tend to get greasy late in session after they really heat up.  I'll be at Lime Rock Monday also if he wants to chat.

Thanks to both of you for your comments, which I have passed along to my friend.  997S22 he would indeed like to meet you at Lime Rock.  I'm sending you a PM

.

Larry-

As others have mentioned, it's a matter of how hard your friend drives and also his driving style.  But ultimately, he wants to come in with HOT tire pressures something less than 40 PSI.  That's what I ran when I had my Boxtser S with Michelin POS's.... sorry, I meant Michelin PS's.  Smile
