- betegh9 - 06-17-2010 Why do people LIST their future rides, present rides, past rides and model cars they owned when they were5 years old under their signature? How come no one lists their '69 vw bug, their Rambler American or their rusted out Ford Escort? What about your high school and college ride?.......That is if you went to school, some of us never had such an opportunity. WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR RIDES?!!!! Would you be interested in my flying carpets? - ccm911 - 06-17-2010 In that case, then why would I give a rat's ass what your instructor number is? Just saying.... - emayer - 06-17-2010 Fair question. Some of us are interested in cars in general and are curious about others experiences with them. Personally, I've contacted members about vehicles listed in their signature to gain further insight. There are also some great posts here on the forum about various muscle cars, motorcycles etc. While I may not be interested in owning these, the experiences are interesting nonetheless. Isn't the sharing of our passion for P-cars and our knowledge of them the point of this forum and the club? Is there something in particular that bothers you about this? Are you recommending the practice be abolished? BTW, this is common amongst other auto forums also. I'd be glad to list those "other" rides. Better get a bigger server first! - AMoore - 06-17-2010 betegh9 wrote: Quote:Why do people LIST their future rides, present rides, past rides and model cars they owned when they were5 years old under their signature? The chevy Nova and the Chevette are my favorites in your list. Truthfully, The forum was getting boooooooring, so I decided to give it a little STIMULUS PACKAGE. Now that I got your attention, keep it up, it is more interesting and entertaining. While you are saying something about lemons, I will be posting under "club racing" pics and results of the 24 of Lemons race taking place this weekend at Summit point. A number or RTR members have seen the Geeser running around Shennandoah and at lightning, testing and tweaking. We think that it is a good competitive car, and with the drivers, we should place well. Survival is the key to this race. Eric, Sorry I didn't get a chance to say hi to you at Lightning. One time I came by your car (I recognize from your avatar), but I didn't see you........ or maybe I did, but I don't know what you look like. Can you post a pic so I can match the car to the face?hock: - betegh9 - 06-17-2010 APXD 30 wrote: Quote:We've had a few (considering we've only been driving for 16 years).WOW!! Sorry, no flying carpet... - betegh9 - 06-17-2010 The point is that I DON'T CARE!!!!! Put a face to all those cars.......I don't know you. A club is made up of PEOPLE, not innanimate objects. - emayer - 06-18-2010 Interesting array of cars! If you had to choose one you regret selling, which would it be? For me it would be the Mercedes G500. Sorry I missed you at Lightning. I did see you on track though- nice! I'll make it a point to seek you out at Watkins if you are going. In the meantime, below is the family portrait... |
