- bob g - 05-10-2010 Everyone seems to use plastic VP fuel jugs vs Eagle Type II's, why? - Brian Minkin - 05-10-2010 Weight - bob g - 05-10-2010 thanks Bob - George3 - 05-13-2010 I've never seen anyone with metal fuel jugs, but I'm sure the metal version are a lot heavier (as Brian mentioned) and more expensive. The plastic ones by VP Racing seem to be the most economical. I have eight of them. . . 4 in the trailer and 4 in the truck. When you buy them in 4-packs, they'll cost you about $25 each, or less if you shop around. - asher681 - 05-14-2010 The Military uses metal fuel cans.... then again a 60 ton M1 tank could care less about weight.. Joe - APXD 30 - 05-14-2010 I have plastic, however, VP has a new deal---free, metal, 5 gal fuel jugs with purchase of C11 & C12 fuel. The per gallon price is the same for 5 gal as 55 gallon so there's really no catch (except that VP cost more than Sunoco to begin with). As a bonus, there is an unlimited shelf life until the can is opened. - Darren - 05-14-2010 asher681 wrote: Quote:The Military uses metal fuel cans.... then again a 60 ton M1 tank could care less about weight.. JoeAre you sure they still use metal fuel cans? I thought they were all plastic now. Metal is stupid, I think you'd end up damaging your car with them. - 997S22 - 05-17-2010 Darren wrote: Quote:asher681 wrote:DarrenQuote:The Military uses metal fuel cans.... then again a 60 ton M1 tank could care less about weight..
