RTR,

I am looking to put a Fabspeed exhaust on my 2011 Boxster Spyder, but i really want to hear it in person first before i pull the trigger.  I would love to meet up with you and go for a ride and listen to your exhaust.  Coffee/beer on me Smile

Let me know.

Jon

Not yet, but I can still dream. I have to admit, I've thought about it since the owner of Fabspeed did his talk at our meeting recently. You might want to talk to our membership chair, Marty. He has used Fabspeed, but not on a Boxster.

(Like the updated Avatar. Nice car.)

Marty are you out there?

Thanks for the reply. I have used Fabspeed on previous Porsches too and love the quality and the stuff they make --- just wanted to hear one on a newer Cayman/Boxster to get a real sense for the tone and the sound.

Thanks! Not a bad pic for my Blackberry?! Cool

I think they have someone who has a Cayman close to their shop that you could ask to "listen" to it before buying. We were talking to them about my car and they were very amenable to the "demo"...

Thanks Lainey!  ill look into that.....

If you haven't pulled the pin yet and while not Fabspeed, I have the Remus "Race" exhaust on my Cayman S. You can hear it at Thunderbolt with Shattenbaum on March 18-19 if that helps. Dan

HEY DAN,

I will be at Lightning with my car so definitely want to hear yours.  I was considering Borla and AWE (a tad less aggressive notes) last year.  Not much bhp bang for your buck but it sure sounds mean... Tongue

I'll look for you over there at T'bolt...

There's a Fabspeed setup on Philadelphia Craigslist Auto Parts now. Good price too...

I'm a little late to this party, but I just got off the phone with Fabspeed and am strongly considering the maxflo system, but I really like the Borla sound too. I'm not really familiar with AWE. Definitely ready to drop the dime, but it's like choosing your favorite ice cream... Anyone have any strong opinions either way? I don't want neighbor-annoying loud (ok a little bit); really like a throaty sound and the added BHP. I'm leaning towards Fabspeed since they can chip my car while it's there too. Anyone want to change my mind? Cool

I went the Remus system.

Must say, very happy. Nothing wrong with the Fabspeed set up though, and you'll be spending the money locally with one of our Der Gasser advsertisers!
