Can anyone give me a recommendation of a place tha can do a high end clearcoat touch-up for me?

I have some slight clearcoat crazing around my side markers and I'd like to get it fixed.

Holberts went wacko and wanted to strip the paint off and repaint it ($880!!), when in fact it should only need touch-up and buffing.... sometimes I really wonder about them.

Any guidance would be great!

Thanks!

What do you mean by crazing?  Is the Clear Coat scratched or is it foggy?

No, it cracked a little around the side marker when we installed it. I need to repair it.

I thought you were going to have Holbert's do the repair when you brought it in.

That was the plan until they told me that they need to take off the bumper, remove the paint around the side markers and refinish it - grand total $880.

I don't think so. Annoying, but not $900 worth of annoying. Smile I'm trying to find a way of getting it repaired in a less aggressive manner. That kind of money for a few cracks in the clearcoat is a little much.

Anyway, I just picked up the car and it looks very nice.... pity that I have to let it sit in the garage under heat for a couple of days to make sure that the bonding tape holds.
