Yesterday I was at the local Porsche Dealership having my car tech-ed for the upcoming Jersey Shore DE event. There were several Porsche big shots walking around pointing at the various Porsche logos around the dealership.
After they left, an employee told me that marketing the brand with the Porsche Crest is history; the only logo Porsche will be using is the Red Logo with the modern font. They were told to remove all crests from the dealership, posters, decals, floor mats and even the painted crests on the floors in the service areas. I don't think they are removing the crests from the car yet; however it appears that they want the Audi, VW and Porsche logos to be similar.

Absolute rubbish.  I'm guessing someone mis-interpreted Porsche's new code for how the dealerships should look.

The crest is a massive part of the history of the brand, and is one of the first things you learn about as a Porsche employee.  No way they are getting rid of it.

Since  that post I have learned that it is all part of Porsche's DNA approach to dealerships being "in line" with Porsche's marketing strategy.
Included in this is where and how the crest may be displayed as well as the "name" of the dealership. Dealerships are slowly being converted to their geographic names.
Winner Porsche has become Porsche of Delaware, Precision Porsche has become Porsche of Atlantic City. etc

Yep-  ours, formerly Don Rosen Imports is now "Porsche of Conshohocken"...   Doesn't have quite the same ring to it...  :?
