- dmano - 08-23-2011 In the video on our home page it shows a car going clock wise and not using the chicane. Are we going to be doing the same and not using the chicane? I have raced on the IMSA course many times in a car, truck and motorcycle but always counter clock wise and using the chicane. Most clubs run the way they did back in the day, the way the track was designed " counter clock wise". Can someone let me know how we are running the track in Sept. so I can change my setup. - cjbcpa - 08-23-2011 Dave, I "believe" we are running the IMSA course counter-clockwise, with the chicane on Friday & Sunday. Saturday, I was told, will be double infield, counter-clockwise. Hopefully Paul can confirm. I think we're also scheduling the run groups in reverse order and only allowing right hand drive cars as well ;-) CB - Wally - 08-24-2011 We will be running clockwise with the chicane on Friday and Sunday. On Saturday we will be doing the double infield also running clockwise. As a bonus there will be an AX on a section of the East course on Saturday. - dmano - 08-25-2011 Too bad as the track is faster and flows much better counter clockwise. We will have to overcome and adapt. - Brian Minkin - 08-25-2011 Just my opinion but I think the North Course and South Course infields flow better and are faster Clockwise when running the full course. - CarreraS - 08-25-2011 Since kids in grade school no longer even know the meaning of clockwise and counter-clockwise, let alone the ability to tell time with a traditional clock, we could always run the track digitally. - betegh9 - 08-29-2011 CarreraS wrote: Quote:Since kids in grade school no longer even know the meaning of clockwise and counter-clockwise, let alone the ability to tell time with a traditional clock, we could always run the track digitally. So you stay home and drive it on your PLAYSTATION? - CarreraS - 08-29-2011 No need, Nick. Twelve years of Catholic School taught me the difference between clockwise and counter-clockwise. I have the bruises on my knuckles as evidence. |
