- JoeP - 07-27-2011 The Forum sends me eMails that contain links directly to new postings and PM's. If I click on the link, the Forum appears and displays the dialog box for UserID and Password. However, this entry method never works. I "Reset the Cookie" and added "mywowbb.com" to my allowable websites in Explorer without effect. I can only enter the Forum by restarting Explorer, going to the Forum, and signing in to a fresh session. Unfortunately, the Forum will ask for credentials again after a bit of time. I need to shut down Explorer and restart everything. It's just a nuisance, but it would be nice if someone had a fix. Thanks. - Brian Minkin - 07-27-2011 Joe, Has to be something on your computer. I do not get this behavior and log directly in to the forum from the links provided in email messages. I have never been logged out once i am in. Brian - JoeP - 07-27-2011 Thanks, Brian. I'll just live with it. Hopefully, it will be cured when I upgrade Windows the next time. - Budman - 07-28-2011 I find a similar problem when I have too many .tmp files stored on my computer. The blog sites won't hold my log in and require me to log in every time I access. Once I do a search/find of all those .tmp files and delete them, the system behaves again for many months. Might be worth a try. Bud - JoeP - 07-28-2011 Joy and rapture are mine! That worked, Bud. Thanks. |
