My 06 S has slow throttle response.  It seems to delay about a second when accelerating, especially at rolling stops 10-15mph.  Is this normal?  PSM maybe?

I think it is pretty normal and I used to experience the same thing on my Cayman. I bought and installed the "Sprint Booster" product and it is a big help in eliminating that annoying delay that an electronic throttle introduces versus the old linkage mechanism we grew old with. Good luck.

As with all late model tiptronic transmissions, there is an electronic brain that overseas the throttle response and shift timing, that is guessing how to respond based on data it accumulates on the driver. My tech's have told me that sometimes the system learns some bad habits, and it is beneficial to simply reset the system.
