- JamesZone - 02-17-2007 I plan to purchase an in-car communicator this year. I believe Chatterbox has the market cornered in this area. However, I thought I would post a new topic to see if anyone knows of any other solutions to consider, or things I should look out for. If a Chatterbox is it, does anyone have any experience with their various product offerings? For example, I don't know if a wireless set up is reliable and/or worth the extra cost. I definitely want to get something that I can use when riding "two-up" on my motorcycle as well. This is one (of many) web sites have I found to purchase Chatterbox products: http://www.motorcycleonlinestore.com/chatterbox Thanks in advance for your input! - Tony356993 - 02-17-2007 I do not know about the wireless version but the nice thing about chatterbox is that if you forget your charger or student ear/mouth piece, there are 40 more of them in the paddock to borrow. - jakp993 - 02-18-2007 James, Most of us have the standard Chatterbox setup. I have the full face headset permanently installed in my helmet and I give my student the open face to slide in his/her helment. Qaulity is OK. Much better than the Nady I had previously. I purchased mine from Stable Energies. cya, Jack - Tony356993 - 02-18-2007 James, OG @ Summit always has some in stock. You could pick one up the w/e of the Shenandoah event. Vendor night @ Dougherty's - I'm sure the will be available there. - jakp993 - 02-18-2007 Good idea Tony. Dougherty's definitely carries them - I've purchased replacement parts from them. Better to support someone that does so much for our track program! Take care, Jack - smankow - 02-19-2007 CDOC has had their reps at this meeting for the last few years. If Bill doesn't have any in stock, I'm sure that they can bring one with them. +1 on supporting those who support us! Steve - Nick - 05-09-2007 There is another tread that discusses this topic: http://rtr.mywowbb.com/forum1/386.html |
