- Ben951 - 02-20-2013 Hi RTR. I look forward to another year of trying to track my car. I think I have replaced or repaired all surprises left for me by the previous owner. However, I have since moved to south NJ (Medford), so membership meetings and DE Inspections are far away. I really like and respect the members I have met at RTR. So what do I do? Should I join Schattenbaum but still do RTR events (as well as the occasional Schattenbaum? I know I would do a Schattenbaum event even as an RTR member if the schedule worked out). Anything I am missing? =\ Ben - ccm911 - 02-20-2013 I think you can have a dual membership, which would offer you the best of both worlds. - CarreraS - 02-20-2013 I'd stick with your RTR membership and participate in both chapters' DE events. I have my car tech'd at Provost and he completes an RTR Tech form for me to use since that is the shop that does all of my repair/track prep/track support work. If you're using a single shop and are loyal to them, they are more than happy to complete the Tech form at no charge. Many RTR members participate in DE events through NNJR, Potomac, SCH, etc. Just don't associate with Steve McMorn and you'll be welcome at all events. - Ben951 - 02-20-2013 Haven't heard of Steve M. Also not familiar with dual membership, I suppose that would mean just buy a second membership for SCH? I'm leaning toward Dave's recommendation at the moment. - Brian Minkin - 02-20-2013 You really do not need to be a dual member. Keep the RTR region as you region of choice and just sign up for Schattenbuam events on Motorpsortreg when you want to drive their events. Many of us who are RTR members run the Schattenbuam events. |
