Ok, you asked....Tongue

Problem was the car would suddenly start running rough after driving about 50 miles.  Once it got in that condition, it wouldn't go away, no matter what the throttle position or load.  At first I thought it was my AFM connector, because I usually have to unplug it and plug it again about once a year.  I checked the various sensors and they were all within spec.

So I went to work the next day and it happened again about six miles from home.  I struggled to get home and measured the temperature of the headers and cylinder 1 was about 150 degrees cooler than the rest.  Hmm, a clue.  So I cleaned the cap and the injector connectors and checked the spark plug.  It then ran fine.

So off to work again two days later, and coming home, it does it again with two miles of my house.  I wiggled some wires and stuff and no change.  I had a spare plug wire laying there for my next test and put that on.  The car ran fine.  Ok...that might be it.

Went to the PCA meeting yesterday and the car was fine the whole time.  Went to work today and everything is still fine.  So I think I can claim victory.  But I will still be bringing many spare parts along for the ride.  I think it's time to order a new set of plug wires too.

So if you see me under the hood of my car, I'm not just admiring my shiny new oil filter.
