- MikeKling - 12-21-2011 During this winter our very own Jim Wirth will be building a new track car. In race car parlance we often say that you start with a "tub". So here is the first picture of Jim starting on what promises to be one of the hottest cars ever fielded by an RTR member. Stay tuned for progress reports. - CarreraS - 12-21-2011 Jim: Maybe the faucets would make nice paddle shifters. Plus, if you ever run some enduros, having a drain in the seating area reduces unscheduled pit stops. - rhargy - 12-21-2011 I see he's "going green" too. He's already got the electric motor installed. Based on the size of the motor it should be faster than his old car ! ![]() - JimWirt - 12-21-2011 That is a good one Mike!!!!!!!!! - betegh9 - 12-21-2011 JimWirt wrote: Quote:That is a good one Mike!!!!!!!!! Hey! that tub looks familiar.............I donated that to him. If you notice, I helped him elongate the wheelbase to make it more stable in high speed, and also so "fat boy" could fit in it without bumping his chin with the knee when pressing the clutch. I hope Wirt is handy doing fiberglass work. Merry Christmas, Jim. - michael lang - 12-21-2011 Jim, that thing is going to make one hell of a sled!! - JimWirt - 12-21-2011 The only thing it has going for it is weight! - Lainey - 12-22-2011 Hey Jim, Love the PVC suspension set up! Better than JRZs? RE: Jim Wirth's new car for 2012. - JimWirt - 03-26-2016 Where's the pic?
